All too often OEM components must sacrifice various performance minded characteristics in an effort to appeal to a wide variety of customers. While an enthusiast typically wants better boost response and more power, all while hearing the turbocharger breathe, a non-enthusiast may give up these characteristics for a quieter ride. In the case of the factory turbocharger, a turbo muffler is positioned at the compressor outlet and is designed to reduce engine bay acoustics.
The APR MS100097 Turbo Muffler Delete replaces the factory turbo muffler with a straight, uninterrupted, CNC machined aluminum tube. To ensure proper sealing, APRs engineers took a two-part approach. A Viton seal forms a seal between the base of the OEM muffler housing and the APR delete tube. With the seal in place and the outer flange installed, the muffler delete tube screws into place, forming a full, uninterrupted path for airflow.

The key to APRs reliability comes in part by use of extremely high grade materials and manufacturing techniques. The APR Turbo Muffler Delete is constructed from CNC machined aluminum, the muffler delete has very tight tolerances for leak free operation. In addition a seal made of heat resistant Viton is included to ensure a perfect seal to the turbo housing. The aluminum muffer delete is anodized black to protect the aluminum for a lifetime of trouble free service.
