The shackles and fixed pins are often overlooked when upgrading the suspension. Original shackles and fixed pins corrode and destroy the bushings and it is the leaf spring bushings that stabilize the movement of the rear axle. Inferior or worn bushings in this area will allow the axle to waver and cause the vehicle to drift all over the road and be unstable under heavy braking. This can be especially noticeable carrying a load or towing. The OE rubber style bushes are designed to work at standard height with standard tires and with standard loads. By fitting the complete package of greasable shackles, fixed pins and bushing kit, the rear end of your Frontier will handle just about anything that is thrown at it!
