Bilstein 47-251588 B14 Coilovers are perfect for getting rid of that factory wheel gap on your daily driver. Unlike other "entry level" coilover kits, the PSS coilovers use mono-tube gas shocks to better control damping and provide stable damping characteristics in all situations. Mono-tube shocks are lighter than twin-tube shocks to minimize unsprung weight. Bilstein damper bodies are a true threaded shock body for better heat dissipation than suspension kits utilizing damper inserts in a threaded housing.

Bilstein PSS Coilovers feature shocks engineered to work in harmony with the progressive-rate springs creating a finely-tuned suspension system.

Bilstein PSS Coilover Manufacturing:
Bilstein B14 Performance suspension kits use threaded steel mono tube shock bodies to minimize unsprung weight, provide corrosion protection, and allow high heat dissipation. The threaded bodies are plated with Bilstein Triple C Technology which is a high-performance, three layer coating specially developed for effective corrosion protection. Bilstein also uses upside-down monotube technology which allows the piston rod to be installed at the bottom of the shock tube body. A wear-resistant chromium tube moves up and down freely by incorporating low friction bearings. Both the support and lateral forces are distributed across a larger area than in twin-tube systems, and the torsional strength of the connection between the wheel and vehicle body is increased.
The standard shock bodies are formed through an extrusion process which produces a durable seamless body. The shock body is then treated with a special paint finish durable enough to withstand grueling 240-hour salt spray tests. The finished body is mated with a solid, induction-hardened steel chrome plated and polished shaft, machined valving components and highest quality seals.
Bilstein springs are powdercoated for durability.
All Bilstein coil-overs are hand-assembled in Germany to rigid ISO 9001 and German TUV standards.
