The Fluidampr 551231 Crankshaft Pulley reduces engine harmonics making the car more pleasant to drive and also increasing power. The OEM pulleys are dampened, however, they are dampened with rubber in order to reduce the cost of the component. Unfortunately rubber is unable to address the full range of harmonic imbalances that are produced by the engine. These imbalances can increase wear on the main bearings and timing gear and are also able to be heard and felt by the driver and passengers. The Fluidampr pulley is dampened with a liquid silicone to dampen a wider range of harmonics and smooths out the engine operation considerably. For those with single mass flywheels the Fluidampr would be a great companion product.

Fluidampr pulleys are made with a steel casing surrounding a steel flywheel, liquid silicone is contained within the housing. The casing is black zinc coated with the Fluidampr logo. All Fluidampr pulleys are made in the USA.
Fluidampr Crankshaft Pulley Install:
