The C257 Mercedes-Benz CLS is the third generation of the CLS four-door sedan series. Built on the E-Class (W213) foundation, it offers rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive (4MATIC) options, and the CLS 53 4MATIC+ models feature variable all-wheel drive with torque distribution between axles. The vehicle incorporates a four-link front and a five-link rear suspension system. It introduces an electric motor that enhances power output by 16 kW (21 hp) and 249 N⋅m (184 lb⋅ft), powering the onboard 48-volt system as well.
